Another graduate from the Whole Athlete Specialized Team, Tony comes from San Rafael, CA. Having been on the same team before, Tony is a perfect fit (we have even traveled to various world cups/world championships together before). Tony has been at the front of the races since Freshmen Highschool and Junior Cat 1 Racing. However, his love for descending kept growing and he could no longer focus on just XC. He’s already had 1 successful pro season and is ready for more!

Representing SoCal, I grew up with a biking obsession. My close proximity to Fontana provided a mix of cross country and downhill racing early on. A future focus on cycling became clear quickly and I progressed through the ranks. Racing for Sho-Air Specialized and making multiple appearances in Mountain Bike Action, I grew up in the bike world, trying my best to excel as a diverse rider. I now attend Lees McRae College in North Carolina, where I mostly ride and learns a little. My 2013 season as a first year U23-Pro will definitely prove to be an interesting and exciting one.
Highlights: Multiple Nationals Podium Finishes in Super D, XC, and STXC, numerous wins in Socal Varsity and Cat 1 races, and a respectable finish in the Pro Class while a Junior at the Oregon Enduro Series

I started riding bikes at age 11 with my dad who has been riding in Marin County since the 80s. I started a High School Cycling team, won the NorCal Varsity High School Series and State Championship, raced XC World Championships, and completed my first year as a pro, in which I placed 10th at U23 Nationals and won the All Mountain category. In my second year pro, I had several podium results at regional races, but suffered a collarbone injury in July, ending my season. Although XC is my focus, I pride myself in being a versatile rider. I love racing XC, but am equally interested in riding/racing on the road bike and going for all day epic rides on my trail bike. I enjoy a wide range of events, including national level XC and enduro.

Like my teammates, for 3 seasons I rode on the dominant US junior/U23 mtb team, Whole Athlete-Specialized, based in California’s Marin County. After helping start and race for Team Santa Cruz-X Fusion last year, I am now shifting my focus. Although working on a media studies major and learning Japanese, I’m still immersed in the cycling community. For 2013 I am contributing all team media.

I’ve been racing since 2007 and developed a strong passion for cycling. I quickly progressed in the sport and was invited onto the Whole Athlete Junior Development team. I then raced at the National level placing in the top 10 at every race. After that, I moved on to race for a local shop in both cyclocross and mountain while finishing school. I currently work at Easton Bell Sports.
